FDI in Arab world rises by 7% to $72bn in 2007  
Figures released by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) show that foreign direct investment (FDI) in the MENA region totaled $82.6bn in 2007, an increase of 0.5% from $82.1bn in 2006 while FDI inflows to the Arab world totaled $71.9bn, a rise of 7% from $67.2bn in the previous year.
